At he very young age of 5 she attended her first piano lessons. Soon afterwards she took up guitar. And her first guitar teacher happens to be now her very own bass player. :-) Talking about coincidence!

As a teenager; Veerle has played in many bands such as Toendra (Flemish rock band) and Raincheck ( a rock band founded by her brother). After her high school studies, she decided it was time for more serious work and she went to study classical piano at the Lemmensinstitute in Leuven, where se obtained her Master in Piano in 2004 cum laude. During that period One Trick PO played its first songs.

Meanwhile Veerle is a piano teacher the Academie of Music of Sint-Agatha-Berchem and of Jette where she’s also an accompanist.
Besides playing more popular music, Veerle is still faithful to her classical roots and performs solo as well as with chamber music ensembles like Arabella and Zia Fragola.
